This seems to mean MSNBC.com along with Newsvine may be moving closer to a move.
You can find news anywhere. North, East, West and South, news is available just about anywhere, anytime. The real trick is to report what that news means in a way that is relevant to the many.

Boy, they sure know what to do about party poopers in New Zealand.
In recent months there has been a growing awareness among the citizens of on-line communities that social sites and other gathering places or waterholes are being attacked by various and sundry individuals and organisms that appear to bring detriment, discord and sometimes fatal …

Of particular concern in this situation, the President called passiveness of certain representatives of the journalistic profession: "the tin soldiers, who are ready not just to accept such a policy, but to continue it".
Hey! They know how to take care of the regular old tax payer. They make those that reap profits from special positions give back to the community. My county would become rich if AEP's Conesville Plant paid us $10 for every MW they produce.
So, you think US is a leader of the world? I wonder why Iceland leads us in internet availability. Check out this news site from Iceland to see what is going on with the really leading countries.
Michael Moore has enraptured at least one Catholic priest in Ireland.
We didn't hear much about this flood. We don't hear much about what happens in Alaska if Palin isn't involved. A new article says they deposited about $1300 in the accounts of Alaska citizens.
I found this article on our local news site. I am inquiring to the author and through the paper's forum about whether there was any public notice before this company was granted a monopoly to investigate the site.
So, we in the US are not the only ones having energy problems. Looks like the Pakistanis are on the road to local power distribution?
This is posted in the category of Technology but might be better in Politics or whatever. Maybe the Polish people have a good idea. Wouldn't a pedophile welcome castration as opposed to solitary confinement?
It seems citizens everywhere have problems with their government and government everywhere has problems with their people. Evidently the President of Liberia has been taking kickbacks from a logging firm. This is a good read for those concerned about our US Federal Administration.
This story from Chile reminds us that we have a problem in the US with the care and preservation of ancient artifacts.
The Aussies seem to be destined to whatever food merchants want to sell them. Do we in the US have this problem? Are we being force fed by fast food chains? Or is it just that fast food does it better than Mama used to do?
What happens when you take from those that have give to those who don't. The next step will be for those that had to regain or for new entreprenuers to arise and profit from the forced transers of the past.
A trip back to Okinawa might prove disappointing to those of us who have not been there in a while. It seems our old houses, bases, runways, building are now being put to peaceful use by the expanding economy of Okinawa since Japan is back in total control.
Indian General says his country can fight of the Chinese. I wonder why that statement is necessary and why it is front page news in India. Our generals get slapped down for publically requesting more troops.
This story from an English language newspaper in Vietnam tells how the Party leaders want to take Vietnam into Socialism. Does that mean closer to or farther from Communism? Maybe they really want to be Captalists!
The headline reminded me of when US peacekeeping forces arrived in Somalia. I guess the big countries get to be the policemen in the world. There is another story on the front of China Daily about some Chinese merchants being attacked there also.
China Daily is published in China and presented in English. It seems a little unsettling to read about Chinese diplomacy. Not because it is threatening but because it seems to be leading in the direction we should be going in the US.
I think the Judge may still be down there.
All right everybody! Drag your feet! The slower we go the faster we will get there.
My normal search engine these days is Bing. Using Bing I came upon this site (url/link removed by author as possibly viral advertising) in preparation for this article.

I am so glad I kept in writing and in memory my original suggestion to Newsvine and then to MSNBC that they extend their syndicate down to the local level. Even to every block level.
I've said before that while I didn't vote for Obama, I want him to be a successful president. That's best for the country and for maintaining U.S. power and influence in the world.
Do you fear the end of the American Dream? Apparently Obama thinks that too many of us do. Do you?
An Italian doctor has been getting dramatic results with a new type of treatment for Multiple Sclerosis, or MS, which affects up to 2.5 million people worldwide.
When I was growing up I used to look forward to Thanksgiving Day because of all of the parades. They were on all of the channels (all 3 of them) and there were parades from not just Macy's in New York, but from Detroit, Chicago, Hollywood and even for awhile Honolulu.

Old foggey 'eh. As a proud Canadian, I will tell you that the bailout of Citi Group just solved all the problems of GM and Ford. I would reccomend buying these stocks now. It is apparent that Citigroup, holds most of the financing of these corporations. We can, as shareholders stop paying the executives, large bonuses, and at the end of the day it will be the consumer in America, who will fall, or (barely) survive.

People have said lately that newer 'viners from the MSNBC acquirement may soon overcome the classic users that have been here since the beta days. oldfogey is someone on Newsvine who can not be replaced.

I had long appreciated Oldfogey's comments and articles, but only recently took a good look at his column and biography. I don't know what took me so long.
Oldfogey consistently brings intelligence and charm to the 'Vine and his words and actions are a fine example of what can be achieved with the tools and information available to us all if one only decides to work hard at doing good. Thanks for raising the bar for us all, Oldfogey.

You can say it's just a website but sometimes, by example, you learn important things. Things about applied compassion, things about how small graces, incrementally, can define and illuminate both you and those who you meet along the way. Oldfogey is a wonderful teacher.

Hetep and Respect, Oldfogey is a Republican, but he is also and honest man, who is in favor of peace and justice and I can vote for that any time.

Without old fogey, Newsvine would not be the same. He adds a certain gentleness and wit that are rare. He has the ability to disagree with you, yet not come off as a know-it-all. Old fogey debates the best of 'em with class and respect. We can all learn a lot from him.

OldFogey is a great Newsvine journalist with years of experience and a great amount of wit and wisdom. We are all better informed for him being here. Now, if only he could figure out the darn spell check!

oldfogey is an old school farmer with a new school attitude on life in the internet age. His commentary around Newsvine is witty and charming, yet the photos he provides of his buddies and him make me want to hoof it over to his place for a good 'ol game of cards and a cold beer.

oldfogey has snuck under my radar for long enough, probably because he's not usually found hanging around with troublemakers ;)
I've recently spent some time following his commentary around the site and I confess that I've become a big fan of his wit as a result.
I love the photo of him in this article.
If we are to get press credentials for users one day, oldfogey will be at the top of that list.

I hope I have the same intelligence, writing ability and interest when I am half your age.

oldfogey is just about one of the nicest guys there is on Newsvine. Quick to offer constructive thoughts and insight, you just feel a little bit better knowing oldfogey is on your side.
So thank you for being here =)
These incidents happen in the absence of leadership and oversight. How do troops get out of the chain of command long enough to commit atrocities? The command doesn't care or would rather hide problems than admit to them.- oldfogey, Friday, June 30, 2006, referencing allegations of soldier misconduct in Iraq
Thanks for saying that, oldfogey!
