Rottlady, she helped build this community. I thought my first obit would be my own but, alas, I have hung on longer than expected. Part of my hanging on is because I have had friends like Elizabeth. I found her years ago on Newsvine and was driven to befriend her because she was from Springfield, MO. We met once for lunch at Panetta's and again at the Louisville Vinemeet. She had a commanding and pleasing personality. She loved Rottweilers, all animals and Springfield, her city. She also loved people and you couldn't be around her long before you realized that. Somewhere along the line she became interested in photography and became a boon to Newsvine Photographers. She sent us all a picture of her sky each evening from Springfield. It was invariably sunny.
Elizabeth Pruett was invariable sunny and she brought her light into many others lives. She was a community builder for Springfield and she brought her love of community to Newsvine where she became a leader and icon for all that is good about this place. The next time you look toward the sunset please remember Rottlady and if you happen to be in Springfield during a sunset I know you will be able to see her up there somewhere.
We will always love her.
